Where should I go to start my tour?

Other Guests;
Meet at our location on Sands Road off East Street
Plan to be there 30-40 minutes from experience time.
No refunds for lateness.

Cruise ship Guests;
Once you exit the cruise ship walk towards the exit of the cruise port and look for the ground transportation sign which is next to the Junkanoo Museum and the rental booth is next to it. Look for the window with our sign on it. Once you sign in you will be shuttled 2 blocks to our main location.

I am coming to Nassau, can I book an excursion/tour with you to another island?

Yes you can! We are able to provide assistance with any and all excursions/tours to our islands throughout the Bahamas.

I am traveling by Cruise Ship, can I take any of your tours?

Yes. All of our tours are 3 hours in length. However, please be aware of your ships arrival and departure times to ensure that you can fit your desired tour into your schedule.

Do you do group tours/private tours?

Yes we do! We provide private tours for as little as 4 persons all the way up to as many that you need! Please contact 1-800-558-1364, 1-242-557-2223, or via email at reservations@bowcarbahamas.com for further assistance with this.

What happens if it rains?

Most of the time, tours are not canceled merely on account of the rain, however depending on the type of tour and severity of the weather it may be adjusted for safety reasons or canceled with a full refund..

Are your tour guides licensed?

Yes! All of our tour guides are licensed through the Government, they are also Bahama Host & CPR Certified.

What is the minimum age requirement to drive a rental?

“Drivers must be a minimum of 25 years of age and no older than 69 years of age. This age requirement applies to all vehicles and is enforced in accordance with our insurance policy. A physical valid driver’s license is required for all drivers.”

What equipment is included with my rental?

ATV rentals include helmets, a full safety briefing, a recommended sites flyer, and a saved offline map with all of our recommended sites pre-loaded at no extra charge. Buggy and jeep rentals include a full safety briefing, a recommended sites flyer, and a saved offline map. A programmed GPS is available for all rentals for an additional fee. Everything you need to explore Nassau confidently is taken care of!

I can’t seem to purchase my tour online?

Are gratuities/tips included?

Yes! Gratuities are included in all our tour and rental rates — no hidden extras or awkward tipping moments. The price you see is the price you pay (plus applicable fees and taxes at checkout).

Which days are you open?

We are open 7 days a week.

Why is the tour I want not available on a certain day?

We have the tours set on certain days currently to allow for the amount of different tours we do provide, however if you have a group that can meet our tour minimum we may be able to assist you on a different day.

How quickly should I expect a response?

We respond promptly to any inquiries by our guests within 24-48 hours.

What side of the road do you drive on?

We drive on the left hand side.

What is the damage waiver?

The damage deposit is required at check-in to cover any damages of the vehicles if any during the rental period. The damage waiver could be left on a MasterCard and Visa Only or cash. If left on a credit card it is done as an authorization only. Once the vehicle is returned the damage deposit is either returned if left in cash or voided if left on a credit card.

When does the Rental begin?

Rentals begin at the start time selected. Therefore we suggest you check in 30 minutes prior to your start time. If you arrive late you will be expected to return at the return time of your selected start time if not a late fee will be charged.

What is the age policy for children on tours?

Children aged 10 and older are welcome as passengers on ATV tours. Children of all ages are welcome on Jeep tours. Children under 5 must be in a car seat — car seats are available from us for a small additional fee. Please let us know the ages in your group when booking and we’ll make sure everything is ready for you.
